<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # <br /> <br />G-~ <br /> <br />Meeting Date 10/18/04 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Cabarrus County Planned Unit Development District (PUD) - Public Hearing - 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Purpose: Petition M04-06 (ZT) seeks to add a new zoning classification to the list of <br />zoning districts in Chapter 3, Establishment of Zoning Districts. This new classification is <br />a floating zoning district designated as Planned Unit Development (PUD). The purpose of <br />adding a floating district to the ordinance is to add flexibility by enabling it to accommodate <br />new land uses in reaction to a community's changing needs.
