<br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Agenda Item # Q,. - 5 <br /> <br />Meeting Date 10/18/04 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Cabarrus County Work First Block Grant Plan for FY 2005-07 <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br /> <br />Every 2 years each county in NC must develop and submit to the NC Division of Social <br />Services a plan spelling out how they will work with Work First eligible families to help <br />them beCome self-sufficient and off public assistance. Through these plans, the Division <br />develops a State Plan, which is approved by the NC General Assembly.
