G. Family Violence Option The Notification of Family Violence Option form is reviewed with each recipient assessed in Work First, with the exception of 'child-only' cases. If the social worker has a recipient with a domestic violence issue, they can assist them as needed with domestic violence funds, and refer them to Cabarrus Victims Assistance Network (CVAN), counseling at DA YMARK Recovery Services, or private counseling. Presently, CVAN does not work directly with DSS due to their confidentiality issues. Social workers can refer a recipient to CV AN and allow them to make their own call to this organization. Cabarrus County receives an annual allocation of Domestic Violence funds that can be utilized to help alleviate a domestic violence situation. H. Maintenance of Effort (MOE) The following activities, staff, and services will be funded through Maintenance of Effort funding: .) Activity Staff Services All activities related All Employment Case Management, work to Employment Services social related and participation Services (with the Work Staff expenses, transportation exception of services to non-custodial parents) Activities related to 1M staff in Intake Initial and ongoing Work First eligibility and Review units eligibility determination Activities related to Social work and Emergency Assistance, GA Crisis services 1M staff in Crisis to families, CIP to families, Unit Service Intake to families, and Individual and Family Adjustment services Child Care subsidy Day Care unit Child Care for Work First and Administration social workers and families other eligibility staff Children's Services Child Welfare Foster Care-Case Staff Management, CPS- Intake and Investigative Assessment I. Child Welfare Services It is estimated that Cabarrus County DSS will devote $3.0 million of its Work First Block Grant to Child Welfare Services during FY 2005-07. 18 G-5
