The inmates were just moved into the new jail last week.

Value Engineering:

Ware Bonsall was not engaged to do the value engineering on the project.

.1

On Site Management:

Quality of on site management was excellent. Project was well documented through
paperwork, pictures, video, andjoumals. Mr. Rizzuto was highly recommended by New
Hanover County staff. All problems on the project were traced to a general contractor
who went under. General contractor did not manage subcontractors well. This was a
single prime project.

Reference: Cumberland County, NC
Contact: Tom Cooney
Experience: Sheriffs office andjail facility
On Site Managers: 1 architectural engineer and 1 mechanical contractor

Contract Administration:
They did an excellent job with contract administration. They were very responsive to the
customer and carried out the task as requested.

Value Engineering:
Ware Bonsall Architects hired Hanscomb, Faithful & Gould to do the value engineering
for the proj ect. This process was very successful. The value engineering resulted in
enclosing some space that would otherwise been a roof. This allowed for a great deal of
unfinished space, "shell space" for future expansion. It is currently being used for
storage and a physical training area. .

On Site Management:

Ware Bonsall hired two on site managers for the project. The one had an architectural
background and the other a mechanical backgroùnd. They provided excellent on site

£-1
