All costs must be <br />incurred within a three-year period beginning from the starting date on the grant <br />agreements. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation recommends that we submit an application for <br />the $500,000 grant. In Phase I of a new park site, a good portion of the development <br />will be for support facilities, such as parking lots, roadways and restrooms. For a grant <br />request to be reviewed in favorable light, a number of recreational opportunities must be <br />proposed in the grant. Within the next 30 to 40 days, a master site plan will be <br />composed for this project. <br /> <br />Schedule and Selection Process <br />The deadline for submitting this grant application is March 3, 2003. The applications <br />are evaluated, scored and ranked by LWCF staff according to the project selection <br />criteria in the Open Project Selection Process and are selected for funding.
