Piedmont Behavioral Healthcare <br /> <br /> Quarterly Report <br /> To the <br /> Secretary of Health and Human Services, <br /> Division of MH/DD/SA, <br /> and <br />Boards of Commissioners for Cabarrus, Rowan, Stanly and Union Counties <br /> <br />First Quarter SFY 02-03 <br /> <br />November 15, 2002 <br /> <br />This Quarterly Report Is respectfully submitted as required by General Statute 122C-117. The following <br />areas are addressed in th~s report: <br /> <br />I. Status of the development of the Local Business Plan <br />2. Services Prowded to consumers during the first quarter <br />3. Waiting hsts <br /> <br />Local Business Plan Development: <br /> <br />Dunng the first quarter of SFY 02-03, P~edmont completed the planning phase of the Local Bus~ness Plan <br />development. As part of th~s process, an extensive series of pubhc forums were held in each of the four <br />counties to seek ~nput from the people who use the system: consumer and fam~hes, providers, Piedmont <br />staff, and the community at large. A Community Rev/ew Committee, composed of stakeholders including <br />consumers, local pubhc agency representatives, providers and others, met to provide add~bonal <br />stakeholder input into the development of P~edmont's Local Bus~ness Plan. A Consumer Fam#yAdw$ory <br />Comm~tteewas estabhshed as a sub-committee of the Commumty Rewew Committee. This committee <br />ensured that concentrated consumer ~nput was provided for the development of the plan. <br /> <br />Dunng the month of October P~edmont presented the draft Local Business Plan to a broad, diverse <br />community of stakeholders through community forums. Meebngs were held ~n each county that ~ncluded <br />consumers, fam~hes, staff, prowders, community agencies and community officials and others ~nterested in <br />the mental health reform process. The Consumer Fam#yAdwsory Committee completed its final report <br />and presented th~s to the Area Board on October 8, 2002 and the Community Rewew Committee on <br />October 14, 2002. The Consumer Family Adwsory Committee voted to approve P~edmont's Local Bus,ness <br />Plan at ~ts September 19, 2002 meebng. The Commumty Rewew Committee rewewed the Local Business <br /> <br /> <br />
