(d) <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />(0 <br /> <br />Testing of unlicensed applicant for work personal residence. Whenever any <br />person who is not a licensed contractor applies for a permit for any plumbing, <br />electrical, heating, or cooling work on his own personal residence, the applicant <br />shall be given a test by a tester designated by the Public Safety Services <br />Department. The test may be written or oral at the discretion of the tester. A <br />person may take the test more than one time. If the test shows that the person is <br />capable of performing the work for which the permit is sought and shows that the <br />applicant is knowledgeable of the state and local building codes, the applicant will <br />be considered in the same manner as any other application for a building permit. <br /> <br />Article does not give warranty. Nothing in this article shall be deemed a <br />warranty either as to the ability of any particular person to do a particular job or as <br />to the safety, quality, or suitability of any work which is done. Neither the <br />issuance of a permit not the inspection and approval of any work constitute a <br />warranty. <br /> <br />Codes do not constitute warranty. Nothing in a building, plumbing, electrical, <br />heating,or cooling code or ordinance, or any other provision relating to <br />construction or alteration of any building or component of a building, shall <br />constitute a warranty or guarantee of any kind relating to a building or <br />component. Neither the issuance of a permit, nor the completion of an inspection, <br />nor a certificate of occupancy shall constitute a warranty or guarantee either that <br />the construction or alteration complies with all applicable laws and ordinances or <br />that it is free of defects or will perform or last in any particular way. <br />(Ord. Permit Fees. <br /> <br />(a) All applicable fees must be paid before a certificate of occupancy is issued. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />A reinspection charge shall be assessed for any required subsequent inspections if <br />the contractor, subcontractor, or owner is at fault, thereby necessitating the <br />reinspection. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />All permit fees must be paid at the time of application unless the applicant posts a <br />performance security bond. Should a bond be posted, the applicant shall be billed <br />by the Development Serv:.ce: Depa~ment Public Safety Services Department <br />for the permit. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />No permits will be issued under the billing procedure above if the applicant's <br />account is 60 or more days in arrears and not paid in full. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />The fee for day care inspections shall be set from time to time and a schedule of <br />such fees is on file in the county offices. <br /> <br /> <br />
