E) <br /> <br />We went into contract with Southern Steel on October 14th, 2002 to <br />provide steel for Bethel Elementary. The intent of the contract was to let <br />the general contractor use Southern Steels contract for bidding purposes. <br />We want to have the raw steel purchased, fabricated and on site by August <br />1, 2003. Therefore, we need to make payment on the contract during the <br />next few months. The BOE needs to approve to provide payment. The <br />general contractor in bidding will not use this contract. <br /> <br />F) <br /> <br />Purchase of land for the road-widening project will be discussed in closed <br />session. <br /> <br />I recommend the items, in regards to Bethel be approved. This will allow us to occupy <br />the building in August 2004. With the scope of work mentioned the general contractor <br />would only be responsible for the construction of the building.
