(Bethel August 2004 and Pitts School August 2005) <br /> <br />We are asking for the ~ounty Commissioners to approve the concept and funding for <br />Bethel Elementary prior to the sale of COP's. <br /> <br />The following items for approval are for the Phase II grading package at Bethel <br />Elementary. This b, rill allow us to move in the new facility in August 2004. <br /> <br /> A) Ken M~. hael, Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice prepared the contract for <br /> Culp Bjothers, Inc. This is a negotiated contract with Culp Brothers, Inc. <br /> for $946,037.00. The architect, engineers and myself have carefully <br /> review~ the summary of cost. The biggest portion of work in this <br /> contraci will be completed by August 1, 2003 with the remainder <br /> completed by July 15ia, 2004. <br /> <br /> B) Approval of proposal from Qore Property Sciences for construction <br /> testing.; Qore will test density on the stone, concrete and witness proof <br /> rolling for the parking areas. The proposal is for $3,540.00 <br /> <br /> C) PSNC ~as proposed to extend the gas line approximately 1 mile for the <br /> new schb~, ol. In the past PSNC has not charged for this service but due to <br /> the mininal density PSNC is requesting $46,936.00 for the extension. <br /> <br /> D) Duke Pdwer is proposing to re-locate a power pole for $3,000.00. The re- <br /> locatiomis because of the road- widening project on Midland Road. David <br /> Phillips,:our Duke Power representative is trying to reduce get the cost <br /> reduced.' <br /> <br /> <br />
