Schedule A is for all persons h~red or rehired on July 1, 1997, or thereafter, and those in full- <br />time County employment Immediately prior to that date who voluntarily chose to change from <br />Schedule B effective, July 1, 1997, under the following conditions <br /> <br />County paid health and life lnsurance coverage will be provaded to employees qualafy~ng for <br />retarement as a member of the North Carolina Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System <br />with at least ten of their creditable years beans an the Service of Cabarrus County. These <br />benefits will be paxd at the same level as for actave employees and will be provided to <br />retarsd employees untal they become eliglhle for Medacare (or reach the age where they would <br />have had such benefits if they had been qualified for Social Security) <br /> <br />· Employees qualifying for retirement an the North Carolina Local Governmental ~mployees' <br /> Retirement System but wlth less than ten years of servxce wath Cabarrus County shall receave <br /> one-half of the benefit provided to retiring employees wath at least ten years of service <br /> with Cabarrus County <br /> <br />· Employees earning more annual leave than llsted on Schedule A for their years of service, <br /> will have their annual leave accrual rate remain at the then current level until or when <br /> advancement an sen~oraty entatles them to earn an ancreased amount of leave.
