Be prepared to conduct or assist in rescue operations of injured/entrapped <br />victims during emergency operations, to include water, low/high level, trench, and <br />confined space rescues. Be prepared to conduct victim recovery. <br /> <br /> b. Under the direction of the Sheriff's Department, assist in the search and <br />rescue of lost individuals. <br /> <br /> c. As needed, support the county Emergency Medical Services during <br />emergency response operations. <br /> <br /> d. Support the evacuation of extended care facilities and handicapped or <br />disabled (special needs) individuals as the situation permits. <br /> <br /> e. Be prepared to provide off-road vehicles to reach isolated areas. Provide <br />personnel and equipment to support public warning and traffic control missions. <br /> <br /> f. Provide medical and transportation resources to support shelter operations, <br />as needed. <br /> <br />g. Assist in debris clearance to permit emergency access to damaged areas. <br /> <br />12. Social Services Director <br /> <br /> a. Coordinate the continuation of social services to county residents during <br />emergency situations. Be prepared to provide emergency benefits within the resources of <br />the Department of Social Services. <br /> <br /> b. Coordinate with the Cabarms Health Alliance, Piedmont Behavioral <br />Healthcare, and other government and non-governmental agencies to provide support <br />personnel during emergency situations. <br /> <br /> c. Develop mutual aid agreements with surrounding counties to support local <br />social services in emergency situations. <br /> <br />d. Maintain internal alert/recall rosters. <br /> <br /> e. Coordinate with medical/health care facilities (e.g. rest homes, group <br />homes, etc.) to insure development of emergency/evacuation procedures. Assist nursing <br />homes with the development of emergency plans. All plans will be coordinated with the <br />County Emergency Management Department. <br /> <br /> f.
