j. The Cab[arms County Firemen's Association will provide a liaison to the <br />Emergency Operatiod Center when activated. <br /> <br /> 10. County Einergency Medical Services Director <br /> <br /> a. Develol~ procedures for the dispatch and operations of emergency medical <br />services (EMS) units ~during emergency situations. Coordinate on-scene patient care and <br />evacuation with othe~ county and municipal emergency response organizations. <br /> <br /> b. Develol~ mutual aid agreements with surrounding counties to supplement <br />local emergency medical services support during emergency situations. <br /> <br /> c. Develo~ policy and procedures for the treatment, evacuation, and <br />decontamination of e~.sualties resulting from accidents involving hazardous materials. <br /> <br /> d. Coordidate with NorthEast Medical Center disaster committee on the use of <br />medical facilities during mass casualty incidents. <br /> <br /> e. During ~mergency situations, establish a liaison with NorthEast Medical <br />Center and maintain dommunications with other emergency response units in the field. <br />Be prepared to transpbrt medical supplies to other medical facilities as needed. <br /> <br /> f. Coordi~te with the Cabarrus Health Alliance and Department of Social <br />Services to establish ~ system to check on residents with special medical needs during <br />emergency situationsi Be prepared to assist with the transport of medical supplies, <br />oxygen, etc. to special needs patients. <br /> <br /> g. Mainta~ liaison with American Red Cross (ARC) an~t other non- <br />government service agencies during emergencies. As needed, be prepared to treat minor <br />casualties arriving at lhelters and provide additional medical resources to these shelters. <br /> <br /> h. Provide~medical support and surveillance for emergency workers at <br />incidents involving r~diological and hazardous materials. <br /> <br /> i. Be prepared to assist the ~ Regional Medical Examiner during a mass <br />fatality incident. <br /> <br /> j. As needed, activate the nearest Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD) <br />Team to assist emerg{ncy workers and victims in the aftermath of a disaster. <br /> <br /> k. Report !to the EOC upon activation. <br /> <br /> 11. Rescue Sq~uads <br /> <br /> a.
