(2) Pn vide buses and drivers to support transportation operations. Be <br />prepared to transport :ounty residents during emergency situations, including special <br />population groups (1~ ndicapped, elderly, etc.). <br /> <br /> (3) pn vide fuel support for vehicles used in emergency operations. <br /> <br /> c. Be prep ared to provide school facilities to be used as shelters for mass care <br />and feeding, tempera y medical facilities, and Disaster Application Centers. Coordinate <br />letters of agreement ~ith government and non-government organizations as necessary. <br /> i <br /> 23. Transpo~ation Coordinator (Planning Services) <br /> <br /> a. Provide ~vehicles from the Cabarrus County Transportation System (CCTS), <br />to support emergency i transportation requirements. These vehicles will include <br />handicapped-aecessil.te vehicles for special needs populations. <br /> <br /> b. Develo'~ notification/activation procedures for CCTS personnel and <br />facilities during emer ~ency situations. Develop list of supplemental drivers if CCTS <br />personnel are not av~ lable. <br /> <br /> c. Provide shuttle service for key personnel during emergency periods, as <br />needed. <br /> <br /> d. Coordi~te and direct transportation operations. Coordinate with law <br />enforcement and oth~ emergency services to identify transportation routes for drivers. <br /> I <br /> e. Report 1~ the Emergency Operations Center upon activation. If required, <br />obtain spare keys for~CTS vehicles at the Eec. <br /> <br /> 24. Amerieal~ Red Cross Liaison <br /> a. Conduct sl~lter/mass care operations in Cabarrus County during emergency <br />situations. Provide s~lter managers and supplies for shelter operations. <br /> <br /> b. Coordinate ~vith the Department of Social Services and the Cabarrus Health <br />Alliance for staff supl~ort. Train shelter managers and staff to handle the needs of <br />occupants, espeeially~luring long-term shelter operations. <br /> <br /> e. Identify[evacuees within Red Cross shelters with special needs and notify <br />the Department of S0~ial Services, who will move these evacuees to a special needs <br />shelter. Provide trained personnel to advise and assist DSS personnel on basic shelter <br />operations. Provide l~a~ sic equipment to special needs shelters as available. <br /> d. Assist 4unty damage assessment activities if needed. <br /> <br /> d.
