C. Consumer Prolection. The EOC will refer consumer complaints pertaining to <br />alleged unfair or ille~l business practices during emergencies to the State Attorney <br />General's Consumer Protection Division. <br /> <br /> D. Non-Discrimifl_ation. There will be no discrimination on grounds of race, color, <br />religion, nationality, lex, age, or economic status in the execution of disaster <br />preparedness or disa~er relief and assistance functions. This policy applies equally to all <br />levels of govemmenti contractors, and labor unions. <br /> <br /> E. Agreements aad Understandings <br /> <br /> 1. Agreements and understandings will be entered into only by duly authorized <br />county officials and will be formalized in writing whenever possible prior to emergency <br />situations. <br /> <br /> 2. The Emergency Management Coordinator will request assistance from other <br />jurisdictions should lecal government resources prove to be inadequate during emerge~ncy <br />operations. These req~aests will be made to other jurisdictions, higher levels of <br />government, and oth~ agencies in accordance with existing or temporary mutual-aid <br />agreements and unde~tandings. <br /> <br /> 3. Local municipalities will request State and Federal resources only through the <br />County Emergency ~anagement Coordinator. The county EOC staff will forward these <br />requests to the Western Branch Office, NC Emergency Management Division, to the <br />State Emergency Oplrations Center. <br /> <br /> 4. Organizations tasked with responsibilities in the implementation of this plan <br />will provide their owlx administrative and logistical support. Also, these organizations <br />will prepare and maintain a resource list needed to carry out their emergency missions. <br />Additional assistanc~will be provided by the Emergency Management Coordinator as <br />required during oper~ions. <br /> <br />VII. PLAN DEVBLOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE <br /> <br /> A. The County M~ager will direct the Emergency Management Coordinator to conduct <br />continued developm~t, revision, and annual review of the county emergency operations <br />plan. All department~chiefs will conduct reviews and revise those portions of the plan that <br />their departments will implement during an emergency. These revisions will be forwarded <br />to the County Emergency Planner for incorporation into the existing Emergency Operations <br />Plan. <br /> <br />EOP/BASIC PLAN <br /> <br />27 January2003 <br /> <br /> <br />
