The Emergency Management Coordinator and the Regional Medical Examiner <br />will coordinate support from the North Carolina Medical Examiner's Office in the event of <br />mass fatalities. <br /> <br /> 3. The Regional or State Medical Examiner will coordinate the expansion of fixed <br />and temporary morgue capability. <br /> <br />IV. DIRECTION AND CONTROL <br /> <br /> A. The Public Health Director of the Cabarrus Health Alliance will direct emergency <br />public health operations. Initially, he will control operations from the EOC. Should he go <br />forward to an incident, a representative from the Health Alliance will replace him at the <br />EOC. <br /> <br /> B. The Regional Medical Examiner and the Public Health Director will cont,! all <br />activities connected with identification of the dead and mortuary services. The State Mettical <br />Examiner's Office may assume control of this activity if necessary. <br /> <br /> C. The Public Health Director will maintain communications with all Health Alliance <br />teams or sites around the county. He will keep the Emergency Management Coordinator <br />informed of all activities, along with personnel and equipment status. He will request <br />additional resources for all missions through the Emergency Management Coordinator. <br /> <br /> D. The Behavioral Health Director will control activities connected with the agency and <br />will keep the Emergency Operations Center informed of activities. <br /> <br />V. CONTINUITY OF GOVERNMENT <br /> <br />A. Health. The line of succession is: <br /> <br />1. Director, Cabarrus Health Alliance <br /> <br />2. Nursing Director <br /> <br />3.
