Medical. group <br />members will be farn~}arized with all weapons used by the'Law Enforcement Group. <br />This will include mechanical training and familiarization firing. <br /> <br /> (e) The te_~rn coordinator is selected by the agency chiefs to develop and <br />monitor training for ~e team members and act as a liaison to the various agencies <br />contributing personno~ and resources to the SHRT. This individual also acts a liaisoia <br />Officer to the overall illacident commander. <br /> <br /> e. Logistics <br /> <br /> 1. Equipment.~his team will use equipment currently on hand. New.equipment <br />would be added only ~.s needed to reach the required capability, The fire' departments <br />would, provide the bu~ of this equipment while the other agencies will employ currently <br />available resources, stteh as EOD equipment, medical kits, etc <br /> <br /> 2. Vehicles. Viehicles now in service wi~ be used..f0r~the SHRT. If special vehicle <br />requirements develop[ the agency with that requirement will~/br0Lvi~e ttiat VehiCle.. <br /> <br /> 3. Personal E~ iipment. Current fire service equipnient W.i.l[pr. ovjde the basic <br />level of protection, bt :the team will need additional life support equipment to. conduct <br />operations in some ha Mat environments, Each agency will determine its equipment <br />needs based on the re~ uirement to operate in a chemical, biological or radiological <br />environment. Standai :lization of personal equipment is desirable, but. not a requirement <br />during the initial form ~tion of the team. The Health Alliance and the NEMC teams will <br />develop the specific ~ luipment requirements for their missions, but must consider <br />standardizing equipmJ nt where possible. <br /> <br /> 4. Weapons, Arnmunition and Pyrotechnics. Lav~ enforcement team.members will <br />employ current servie~ weapons, ammunition and pyrotechnics for team operations. <br />Standardization of the~ammunition calibers used by team members is desirable, but not <br />required. Weapon typ~s for team personnel are left up to the individual department <br />chiefs.
