The contracts were awarded based on a package to <br />build both schoc~s to the lowest responsible bidder, Welliver McGuire <br />(general contractor). The contract includes nike work, cons=ruction of the <br />building and a 9ports complex at each facility: Bethel Elementary <br />$8,?08,650.00 (i~cludes sports con. lex); and Pitts School Road <br />$10,383,150.00 (i:lcludes site work and sports complex). RJ Fisher <br />Construction end ~arrell Contractors, Inc. were the lowest responsible single <br />prime bidders. O:~ June 19, 2003, bids were received for the new Kannapolis <br />Middle School.
