The nominee for Probation/Parole Officer of the Year 2003 was David Calloway. David <br />Calloway is a career employee who supervises an Intensive caseload. However, Mr. Calloway <br />also is involved in the Sex Offender Control Program, supervising, in addition, those sex <br />offenders sentenced to Intensive Probation. Mr. Calloway will supervise the "overload" of the <br />Intermediate-sentenced sex offenders when the PPO II caseload reaches its maximum. <br /> <br />Mr. Calloway also supervises all intermediate punished school partnership cases which are high <br />school offenders. He visits each of the local high schools regularly, checking on the progress of <br />those offenders with Resource Officers, teachers, principals, and administrators. He was <br />instrumental in getting the School Parmership Program off the ground in this district, and his <br />involvement makes this program a success. <br /> <br />This employee also volunteers at the Boys/Girls Club of Cabarms County as a coach. In this <br />district, he was selected by~ local management to be a member of the Strategy Team for his <br />leadership abilities and volufiteering spirit. <br /> <br />David Calloway exemplifies that which Program Officers should stand for. He is a hard worker <br />often volunteering for extra duties and projects. He voices little or no compliant and is <br />extremely professional and supervises his caseload accordingly. He is an excellent example of a <br />good citizen and a positive roll model for youngsters in the community as well as those he <br />supervises. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
