CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA ITEM REQUEST <br /> <br />Meeting Date 10/20/03 Agenda Item # ~-- I I <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Matching Incentive Grants Requests for FY <br />2003-2004. <br /> <br />BRIEF SUMMARY: <br />This program provides seed money for civic and community groups to construct, improve, <br />or acquire recreational/park facilities in Cabarrus County. Cabarrus County funds up to <br />50% of project cost. Attached are recommendations for this year's grants from the <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission and the required budget amendment. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: (Suggested motion if the Board approves the agenda item as presented) <br /> <br />The recommended projects are attached for the Board of Commissioners to review and <br />consider awarding grants for the FY 2003-2004.
