Little, Director <br />Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department <br /> <br />Subject: <br /> <br />Recommended Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Matching <br />Incentive Grants Requests for Fiscal Year 2003-2004. <br /> <br />On August 21, 2003, the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Commission heard <br />presentations from ten non-profit community groups requesting Cabarrus County <br />Matching Incentive Grant Funds. <br /> <br />In FY 2003-2004, the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners approved total funds of <br />$75,000 for this program. Cabarrus County's share of the ten submitted eligible <br />projects is $75,000.00. <br /> <br />On Monday, September 29, 2003, in a called meeting, the Cabarrus County Parks and <br />Recreation Commission reviewed and approved the recommended Property <br />Committee's proposal for $75,000 in funding of ten eligible projects. <br /> <br />The recommended projects are also attached (Attachment) for the Cabarrus County <br />Board of Commissioners review and consideration. Chairman George Culp will be at <br />the October 20th Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners meeting to answer <br />questions. <br /> <br />Thank you for your continued support and assistance concerning this program. <br /> <br /> <br />
