If lirnitation~ of authority 0f the <br />A~chit~ct are modified, the Owner shall notify_ the Architect in writing. The Owner shall be responsible for all errors and <br />onliss~ons caused by this modification, <br /> <br />2.6.4 The Architect shall be a representative of and shall advise and consult with the Owner during the administration of the <br />Contract for Construction. The Architect shall have authority to act on behalf of the Owner only to the extent provided in this <br />Agreement unless otherwise modified by written amendment. <br /> <br />2.6.5 The Architect, as a representative of the Owner, shall visit the site at intervals appropriate to the stage of the Contractor's <br />operations, or as otherwise agreed by the Owner and the Architect in Article 12, (1) to become generally familiar with and to <br />keep the Owner informed about the progress and quality of the portion of the Work completed, (2) to _~nd_~=vcr use reasonable <br />care to guard the Owner against defects and deficiencies in the Work, and (3) to determine in general if the Work is being <br />performed in a manner indicating that the Work, when fully completed, will be in accordance with the Contract Documents. <br />However, the Architect shall not be required to make exhaustive or continuous on-site inspections to check the quality or quantity <br />of the Work. _'P'__~ Unless specifically provided otherwise in the Contract Documents. the Architect shall neither have control over, <br />or charge of, nor be responsible for, the construction means, methods, techniques, sequences or procedures, or for safety <br />precautions and programs in connection with the Work, since these are solely the Contractor's rights and responsibilities under <br />the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Insert E; 2,6.5.1 Although the Architect shall not be required to make exhaustive or continuous on-site inspections <br />to check the quality or quantity of the Work. the Architect shall, sub_iect to the professional standard Of care, review the <br />quality and quantity of the Work on at least a weekly basis as part of the Architect's Basic Services, and shall issue written <br />reports of such reviews, which reports shall inform the Owner of any material deviations from the Contract Documents <br />observed during such reviews. The Architect shall conduct additional reviews if requested by the Owner; any such <br />additiorlal reviews shall constitute Additional Services pursuant to Article 3. <br /> <br />Insert F: 2.6.5.2 The Architect. as part of its Basic Services. is to conduct periodic progress meetings during <br />construction of the Project or, if such meetings are conducted by the Contractor. the Architect shall attend such meetings. <br />The Architect shall kee0 the minutes of all such meetings. <br /> <br />Insert G: 2.6.5.3 The Architect. as part of its Basic Services. shall provide the Owner at least once per month, a <br />written report as to the schedule ¢nd completion status of the Work. as received from the various prime contractors. If the <br />Architect determines that the Contractor(s) have fallen ten or more calendar days behind schedule, the Architect shall <br />immediately notify the Owner and request from the Contractor!s) a recovery, plan to brino the Work back on schedule. If <br />requested by the Owner or any consultant or assistant of the Owner. the Architect shall cooperate and provide access to <br />all Proje(;t documentation and records. <br /> <br />2.6.6 The Architect shall report to the Owner and Contractor(s) in writing known deviations from the Contract Documents <br />and from the most recent construction schedule submitted by the Contractor. However, the Architect shall not be responsible for <br />the Contractor's failure to perform the Work in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents.
