Petroleum odors were noted in test boring CCHS-1, completed for the
geotechnical evaluation at the referenced site as part of QORE Project No. C-2020, this Phase
II Environmental Assessment 'will explore the site's subsurface conditions to confirm the
presence or absence of contaminated Soil and/or groundwater in the general area of this boring.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

Our scope of field services will include continuous soil sampling, at three locations to an
approximate depth of 25 feet using Geoprobe technology. One of the locations near the test
boring CCHS-1, one near the former UST location, and one will be determined on-site. The
collected soil samples from the. boring locations will be scanned for tl~e presence of
hydrocarbons using a photoionization detector (PID). After the soil samples are screened, three
samples with the highest read!ngs from tl~e PID will be submitted to a certified laboratory for
analytical testing. The laboratory testing will include EPA Method 8260, MADEP VPH, and.
MADEP EPH. If groundwater is encountered in the location near test boring CCHS-I, a sample
will be collected and submitted to a certified laboratory for analytical testing. The laboratory
testing will include EPA Method 601/602 extended to MTBE, lead testing, MADEP VPH, and
MADEP EPH. Following completion of the laboratory testing, we will issue a report detailing the
field work, laboratory analytical results, and provide recommendations pertaining to the
environmental conditions. All services will be completed in general accordance with applicable
state and federal regulations, including but not limited to, sampling and preservation of the
samples, and analytical testing.

QORE Property Sciences. 911S-E Old Smte~ville Road Charlotte, North C~rolina 28269 (704) 599-4548 (704) 599-4247
