Limited awareness in both the public and long term care communities of the Community Advisory Committee and <br />their function.' <br /> <br />6. Lack of awareness in the community about adult care homes and the type of residents they serve. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE SUPPORT <br /> <br /> Committee members are trained and supported by the Ombudsman program of the Centralina Council of Governments, <br />Area' Agency on Aging, Region F. <br /> <br /> Local back-up support is provided by the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services and the Adult Home <br />Specialists, Rodney Morrow and Tammy Bare, as well as Ms. Willie Cook. The committee appreciates their help and <br />assistance throughout the year.
