Board of Directors. <br />· Mr. Murphy worked for the Department of Aging and also served on the Board and this <br />was a conflict of interest <br /> <br />The SRCSC is a community action agency, we have programs in five counties and we <br />also sub-contract with the Cabarrus County Department of Aging for Weatherization. <br />Under this umbrella we have CSBG, Head Start and Early Head Start, Work to Welfare <br />and Workforce Investment Act, day care, extended daycare and Weatherization. <br /> <br />The County Commissions at one time petition to have -two members serve on our Board <br />of Directors. Ms. Carolyn Carpenter replaced Ms. Betty Jean Prewitt and there is still a <br />position open. However, you do not have to replace Mr. Murphy, but the Board needs to <br />know that that is your pleasure in writing. <br /> <br /> We do have two people from Cabarrus County presently serving on the Board of <br /> Directors. Mrs. Carpenter is one those person and Mr. Robert Moore is the other. Mr. <br /> Moore is representing the faith-based community, but he can also serve as the county's <br /> representative, if you so choose, again, we will need to have something in'writing <br />· requesting that he is also representing the county commissioners. <br /> <br />I hoPe that this give you some insight as to what we do here at Salisbury Rowan.
