The purpose of the rezoning was to create an industrial
park adjacent to the Concord Regional Airport. The Planning and
Zoning Board voted to deny the request. In January of 1998 the
petition came before the Board of Commissioners, it was
approved. The area was rezoned because the development trends,
infrastructure improvements, and other rezoning activities in that
area had been non-residential, or supportive of non-residential

uses.

Area Relationships:

North: Vacant
South: Industrial Park
East: Agriculture
West: River/Agriculture

Exhibits:

1.
