Hollars <br /> Cabarrus County Schools= Emily Behm <br /> Kannapolis City Schools= Janice Carry <br /> Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners: TO be named <br /> Cooperative Christian Ministry= Betty Jean Prewitt <br /> Cabarrus County Community Development Corporation= Louise Mack <br /> Cabarrus County Planning Department (Transportation): James Sasser <br /> Faith Based Organization= Pastor Sam Farina <br /> Former Work First Recipient= Talanya Weaks <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Suggs, seconded by Chairman Freeman and <br />unanimously carried, the Board named Commissioner Privette as its <br />representative on the Work First Planning Committee for FY 2003-05. <br /> <br />(F-8) Bud~e~ ~endment - Reduction of Medicaid E~ense and Transfer of Start- <br />Up Costs in the Amount of $450,000 to the County Schools <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton reviewed the FY 2003 Cabarrus County budget that designated <br />some school allocations based on receipt of reimbursement revenue from the <br />State. He reported that the State's estimate of the County's FY 2003 <br />Medicaid expenses had been reduced, thus allowing the County to fund new <br />school "start-up" costs budgeted at $450,000.00 (three new schools at <br />$150,000.00). <br /> <br /> There was brief discussion regarding the amount of Medicaid <br />expenditures by the County, the opening of three new schools in Cabarrus <br />County this year and the withholding of reimbursement revenue by the State. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner. Privette, seconded by Commissioner Fennel <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following budget amendment <br />allocating $450,000.00 in School start-up costs. <br /> <br /> BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST <br />DEP;%RTMEITT OF FINANCE <br />AMOUNT: $450,000.00 <br />TYPE OF ~JTJSTMENT: Supplemental Request <br />PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Reduction of Medicaid Assistance based on the latest <br />estimates from the State.
