CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date: 11/18/02 <br /> <br />Agenda Item <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Resolution~Ordinance Granting a Non-Emergency Ambulance Service Franchise to <br />Mid-State Transport, Inc. and Approval of Franchise Agreement- Second Reading <br /> <br />The Board adopted the Resolution/Ordinance and approved the Franchise Agreement on first <br />reading at the October 21st meeting. The franchise requires adoption on two readings. <br /> <br />Also, at the October 21st meeting, Commissioner Fennel requested a report on recent events <br />associated with the county's non-emergency ambulance service. A report compiled by Mike Downs, <br />Public Safety Services Director, is attached. <br /> <br />REQUESTED ACTION: Adopt on second reading the Resolution/Ordinance Granting a Non- <br />Emergency Ambulance Service Franchise to Mid-State Transport, Inc.
