8. Consideration of Approval of Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County Declaring Its Intention to Reimburse Said AuthoriW From the Proceeds of One or More Tax-Exempt Financings For Certain Expenditures in Connection with Acquiring Land to Protect the Water Supply of Said Authority - WSACC wants to reimburse itself for any financing that may be done in regard to the purchase of buffer around Lake Don T. Howell (Lake Howell). In order to do that, we must 'have a Resolution of Reimbursement in place before any funds are spent on these acquisitions. We are going to jointly purchase the Patterson Property (addressed above) with Cabarrus County, and are going to have the Resolution adopted before the purchase. Action taken: approved the Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County Declaring Its Intention to Reimburse Said Authority from the Financings for Certain Expenditures in Connection with Acquiring Land to Protect the Water Supply of Said Authority. 9. Consideration of Approval of the Purchase of a Color TV Inspection System - Public Works Equipment and Supply - Bids were received to purchase a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Inspection Unit. Public Works Equipment and Supply was the only bidder that met the required specifications for the unit at a base bid of $118,800. Aries Industries and Cobra Technologies were apparent lower bidders but could not meet the specifications. Cues submitted no bid. Based upon the technical advantage of the equipment bid and the labor saving advantages of the unit, staff recommended that an award of contract go to Public Works Equipment and Supply. Action taken: approved the purchase of Closed .Circuit Television (CCTV) Inspection Unit from Public Works Equipment and Supply due to the technical advantage of the equipment bid and the labor saving advantages of the unit. 10. Consideration of Approval of a Resolution for the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarms County to Become the Regional Storm Water M0_n_agement Program Provider - The Board feels that WSACC should be the regional storm water entity to deal with permitting and implementation on a regional basis in order to assist.the local jurisdictions with storm water management. A Resolution was adopted for this purpose, which will be forwarded to the managers of the jurisdictions. Action taken: approved the Resolution of Recommendation for the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County to Become the Regional Storm Water Management Program Provider. jys
