All staff members will be encouraged to take child care educational <br />classes at a communiW college. <br /> <br /> The Cooperative Extension Service and the System Manger will provide <br />training and technical assistance to the two afterschool sites. <br /> <br /> We believe this rated license project will be successful with the <br />collaborations between Cooperative Extension, Child Care Resources, and Cabarrus <br />County Schools Kids:Plus program. <br /> <br /> This grant proposal will support two areas of emphasis that we are currently <br />working on in our long range program of work - Child Care (CEMPS) and Youth <br />Development (CEMP20). Our goals will be accomplished by offering training <br />sessions to the two sites involved in the license project; monthly Advisory Board <br />meetings involving afterschool teachers, Cooperative Extension 4-H staff;' and <br />school officials. <br /> <br />TIME LINE <br /> <br /> November 2000 <br /> <br />-Meet with Afterschool Advisory Board to inform of possible grant opportunitY. <br /> <br /> December 2000 <br /> <br />-Meet with 4-H Afterschool Advisory Committee to discuss their important role in <br /> this process. The committee will discuss program content, resource leaders, <br /> publicity and recruitment. <br /> -Participate in conference call on Grant Management session. <br /> <br />-Meet with the two afterschool sites to develop a work plan and time line that <br /> <br /> tasks will be completed. <br /> <br />-Staff will attend a Rated License School Age Care training offered by CES. <br /> <br /> <br />
