GRIGGS <br /> <br />Jim Griggs began his career With the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office on September 15, 1972. <br /> <br />Jim is married to Ann Eury Griggs and they have one daughter, Sarah MacKenzie Griggs. <br /> <br /> During his time with the Sheriff's Office Jim has worked in the patrol, communications, and <br />hospital divisions. <br /> <br /> While with the department Jim eamed his Associates Degree in Police Science and Criminology <br />from Central Piedmont Community College and his Bachelors Degree from UNC-Chariotte in Law <br />Enforcement and Administration. <br /> <br />He has also completed over 1000 hours of specialized training in law enforcement related subjects. <br /> <br /> In 1992 Jim was promoted to Services Division Captain with command responsibilities over the <br />Jail, Communications, Detectives, DARE, School Resource and Courthouse Security. <br /> <br /> In 1998 Jim was promoted to Chief Deputy and has done an outstanding job in that capacity as he <br />has in every assignment he has been given. <br /> <br />Jim has been a loyal and dedicated public servant and he will be missed. <br /> <br /> I know he will be happy in his retirement, spending more time with his family, riding his <br />motorcycle, and looking after his fan~. <br /> <br />PO B=< 525 <br /> <br />25 CORBAN AVE, S.E., CONCORD, N.C. 28026-0525 <br /> <br />PHONE (704) 788-3108 <br /> <br />ORI NC013{3000 <br /> <br /> <br />
