CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Rocky River Presbyterian Church was organized in 1751 and is the <br /> oldest Presbyterian Church in Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br />the Cabarrus Black Boys were among the many members of Rocky <br />River Presbyterian Church who were leaders in striving for <br />American independence; and <br /> <br />Rocky River Presbyterian Church continues to serve this <br />community with an active congregation involved in a variety of <br />service projects within Cabarms County and beyond; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, 2001 marks the 250th anniversary of the organization of Rocky <br /> River Presbyterian Church; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, May 3 - 6, 2001, Will be the primary celebration of this 250th <br /> anniversary. <br /> <br />NOW, TI-IEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners does hereby proclaim May 3 - 6, 2001, as <br /> <br />Rocky River Presbyterian Church Days <br /> <br />in Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />This the 26th day of March, 2001. <br /> <br />Arne L.
