The grading
contractors were instructed to complete the grading of the four soccer fields
on the east side of the project by the end of May. With the completion of
these four fields, irrigation/sprigging contractors will be able to start on the
four fields by the first of June. The formal bids for this phase of the project
will be presented to the Board of Commissioners in their April meeting for
their review and consideration.

Due to the current soil conditions, Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation
Department would like to recommend to the Board of Commissioners to award
Alternates 1 and 2 to improve proper drainage and soil conditions.
