I CABARRUS COUld] IORTII CAiOLIllA TO: Property Owner FROM: Cabarms County planning Services DATE: March 14, 2001 RE: Street Name NOTICE FOR CHANGE OF STREET NAME To Whom It May Concern, Following the Cabarrus County Code of Ordinances, Article H entitled Road Names and Address Display, it has been mandated that whenever a right-of-way provides access for over three homes/structures, it must be established as street recognized by the County. The Cabarms County Planning Services Department and the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Deparhnent have been made aware of the drive informally known as "Rumple Estates Road". Following afl investigation into the history behind this road name, the County found that it was never formally or properly named. For the safety of all that live or work off of tiffs right- of-way, we are requesting that the property owners form a consensus and sign the petition to officially designate this right of way as Rumple Estates Road. In order to change the street name, a Road Name Change Petition form will need to be filed. Once the street name and numbers are established all addresses must be clearly posted on the structure itself anal mailbox. The street number/address must be vis~le and readable from the road for any emergency vehicles and postal carder services. We realize that this is an inconvenience, but it is required to assure prompt and accurate responses by any emergency staff that may be called upon. This is an official notification that the street name confirmation is required, If no one has contacted this depa~ tment by April 15~h, the department will establish this as the name and will continue with that procedure that will officially have it designated as Rumple Estate Road.
