'2. <br /> <br />Street Name Change Procedure <br /> <br />Effected residents and property owners assemble to choose a contact person for the <br />County. <br /> <br />Contact person to request a Road Name Petition fi.om the Cabarrus County Planning <br />Services Department. <br /> <br />Effected residents/property owners choose several different street names and list in <br />order of preference and have the contact person to complete the Petition form. <br /> <br />Submit Petition to the Cabarms County Planning Services Department for verification <br />that the chosen street name is unique in the County and not a duplicate of an existing <br />street name. <br /> <br />Chosen road nme to be presented to the Cabarms County Commissioners for final <br />approval by the Planning Services Department. <br /> <br />Planning Services Department to submit work order for a new street sign to be placed <br />at comer and mail out new addresses to residents/property o~ners. <br /> <br />7. Residents and property o.wners have thirty (30) days to post their new street addresses <br /> on their house and/or mailbox, or in some other fashion, so that it is clearly visible <br /> fi.om the street for all service.s providers. <br /> <br />Cabarms County Planning Services will mail out announcements to all service <br />providers (phone company, utility company, Census Bureau, Land Records <br />Department, Tax Office, etc.) of the new street name and addresses. <br /> <br /> <br />
