Grist, Director <br /> For the Board of Elections <br /> <br />Attached is a Memorandum of Understanding between the Cabarrus County Board of Elections and <br />the County of Cabarrus that the Board of Elections adopted June 5, 2001. <br /> <br />Under'Article 1, Section 2 (b) 5 of the County Personnel Ordinance, "The employees of the County <br />Board of Elections is subject to all articles except Article I, Section 4; Article IV, Section 3-8 and <br />10-13; Article VII, Section 2-6; and Article VIII, Sections 1-5 unless other permitted by the current <br />County Board of Elections". <br /> <br />The Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Ruby F. Aldridge, Chairman of the Board of <br />Elections dated June 5, 2001, follows the same verbal agreements that the County and Election <br />Board have followed throughout the years and serves as a written commitment between the County <br />and the Board of Elections to abide by all County personnel policies that do not conflict with the <br />State's applicable statutes, roles and regulations controlling the employment of the Board of <br />Elections' employees. <br /> <br /> <br />
