The cost of renting addressable (remote control, digital) converters increased by 26% this year. Thus, a year's <br />rent of an addressable converter box is now $50.64 compared to $40.20 last year, an increase of $I0.44~ <br />Accordingly, the cost of the non-addressable converter boxes dropped by 21.2%. Most subsubscribers have the <br />addressable converter boxes, so that they can use them with a remote control. <br /> <br />The cost of remote control units have dropped by 9.7% this year....most likely due to the availability of <br />compatible universal remotes in the general marketplace. <br /> <br />al increased from between 6.9% to 7.5%.
