Our Industrial Commission approved <br />program analyzes the bills for duplication of service, appropriateness of service and for <br />injury only related services; then reduces the invoice to the appropriate charge after <br />applying our provider discounts. C.C.S.'s bill review program avoids utilizing an outside <br />vendor for the task and therefore, the County does not incur any additional fees. <br /> <br />Enclosed please find a medical expense, savings report for Cabarrus County. The report <br />details the amount of $163,527.58 invoiced for workers' compensation medical expenses. <br />The amount paid after reducing the charge to the fee schedule and then applying our <br />below the fee schedule discounts obtained through provider agreements is $143,482.87. <br /> <br />Compensation Claims Solutions includes the bill review program in our administration <br />service fee to the County. As our customer for 07/01/00 - 06//30/01 Cabarrus County's <br />savings in workers' compensation claim medical expenses is $29,044.71. <br /> <br />C.C.S.'s commit is to deliver to the County the highest level of claim service possible and <br />we are prepared to "go the extra mile" to exceed your expectations.
