Many counties of North Carolina include appropriate communications cable in <br />the facilities that they furnish with a courthouse. <br /> <br />The relationship that the Judicial Branch of state government has with local counties, with <br />respect to facilities, is, in effect, a landlord-tenant relationship. When a tenant moves into <br />a new building, they take for granted certain features: adequate heating/air conditioning, <br />running water, power outlets, voice/data outlets, etc., and, in the case of office space, <br />communication wiring. It is the county's responsibility to furnish adequate facilities for <br />court operations, whether or not the facilities fees provided cover all expenses. Adequate <br />facilities includes proper wiring for communications equipment in modem office <br />environments. <br /> <br />I hope the aforementioned will encourage you to reconsider your position.
