WSACC

WATER & SEWER AUTHORITY
OF CABARRUS COUNTY

Office: 232 Davidson Hwy.
Concord, NC 28027

Mail to: P.O. Box 428
Concord, NC 28026-0428

Phone: 704.786,1763
Fax: 704.795.1564

MEMORANDUM

TO: Rodger LentzYCabarrus County Planning Services
FROM: Mark E. Lambert,/~/&.g '
DATE: October 1, 2001

SUBJECT: Preliminary Subdivision Maps for Highland Creek and Skybrook

The Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County (WSACC) has reviewed the subject
projects. These projects will discharge wastewater to the Clarke Creek Interceptor-
Phase II.

Currently, WSACC is granting flow acceptance to projects that discharge wastewater to
the Clarke Creek Interceptor - Phase II. However, this memo does not guarantee
wastewater flow acceptance for the proposed project. Flow acceptance is granted in the
order that they are receiv,ed if sufficient wastewater treatment and transportation capacity
is available or is reasonably expected to be made available.

A tentative agreement has been reached between the City of Concord, Charlotte-
Mecklenburg Utilities (CMU), and WSACC regarding the collection of WSACC's
Capital Recovery Fees (CRF). The tentative agreement is that a CRF will not be
collected for those projects in Cabarrus County that are provided retail utility services by
CMU. This tentative agreement would 1/kely affect both of the subject projects.
However, no written confirmation exists of this arrangement as of yet.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
