Box 35008/1300 Baxter Street <br />Charlotte, North Carolina 28235 <br />(704) 348-2717 Fax: (704) 347-4710 <br />E-Mail: ccogwd@charweb.org <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Bonds: <br /> <br />Enclosed please find two (2) items for consideration and adoption by the Board of Commissioners <br />at their next scheduled meeting - the Articles of Association and Agreement for the Centralina <br />Workforce Development Consortium and a Resolution Approving the Articles of Association and <br />Agreement for the Centralina Workforce Development Consortium. <br /> <br />The Agreement states that Cabarrus County wishes to remain in the Consortium for the purpose <br />of receiving and utilizing federal and state workforce development and training funds (Workforce <br />Investment Act and Welfare-To-Work) for the training and employment of eligible individuals and <br />dislocated workers in the county. The Agreement also includes the addition of Anson County as a <br />member of the Consortium. <br /> <br />I will need to obtain the Cabarrus County Commission chairman's signature on an original of the <br />Agreement and your signature on the Resolution. I will attend the board meeting (if requested) to <br />answer any questions and to obtain the necessary signatures required. <br /> <br />Please let me know the day and time of the Board meeting when these items will be included on <br />the agenda. This process needs to be completed as soon as possible (preferably at your June <br />meeting) to facilitate the transition of Anson County to the Consortium.
