Water and Sewer
Utility Availability.

Bethel Elementary School

Water

Sewer

There is currently an 6" water main on Bethel School Road and an 8" on
Midland Road. These lines are part of a loop between Hwy, 601 and Hwy
24/27.

1 Pump Station (20 gallons per minute capacity)
5000 linear feet of 3" Force Main
1" Water Service
Tie to Manhole
Design, Pennitting,& Contract Administration

$55,000
$35,OOO
$1,200
$1,000
$15,000

There are no projections the City of Concord has made to provide sewer to this site.
There has been some discussion regarding how the site could be served but no definite
plan is laid out. Base on the overall scope required to serve the site, gravity sewer is not
a cost effective method that the City would consider. Therefore, the only option available
would be to install a pump station.

Our cost analysis is based on two factor scenario/ti would require a force main to be
extended to the Wallace. This is not the cost shown above. There would be a significant
difference in the length of the force main, potentially the pump station sizing and design
cost which would exceed the above estimate by $90,000. Scenario #2 anticipates gravity
sewer being installed by a developer (T.R. Harrell) to the intersection of Midland and
Bethel School Roads. This would allow for the pump station to be placed at the school
