Resolution No. 2000-25 <br /> <br />STATE OF NORTI~ CAROLINA ) <br /> ) <br />CABARRUS COUNTY ) <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Cabarms County has one (1) 1993 Ford E-350 ambulance, serial number <br />1FDKE30M1PHB02526; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Board desires to dispose of the above referenced equipment; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A, Article 12 sets forth procedures and <br />requirements for counties in selling and disposing of property. Procedures include private <br />negotiation and sale, sale by sealed bids, auction, upset bids, and exchanges; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 160A-279 provides that any governmental <br />unit may convey personal property to any other entity carrying out a public purpose, without <br />compensation. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cabarms <br />County as follows: <br /> <br /> That in accordance with the provisions of General Statute 160A-267, this Board <br />authorizes the County Purchasing Agent to dispose of the above referenced personal property no <br />earlier than ten (10) days after a notice summarizing the contents of the resolution is published <br />once. Also, pursuant to General Statute 160A-279, the aforementioned personal property may be <br />conveyed to the Midland Volunteer Fire Department without compensation. <br /> <br />Adopted this 18m day of September 2000. <br /> <br />ARNE L.
