RECOGNITIONS AND PRESENTATIONS ,R. eao~nition of ~it~ of Concord Officials and Staff for the Cooperative City/Count}, Project to toners-act the Corban Avenue ~arkin~ Lot - ~onat~an ~arshall Mr. Jonathan Marshall, P]~ntng Services Director, recognized the following City of Concord officials and staff who were present for the meeting: Mayor George Liles, City Manager Brian Histt and Co,unity Development and Codes Manager Steve Osborne. Be expressed appreciation for the City's role in the cooperative venture between the County and City in constructing the Corhan Avenue parking lot. According to Mr. Marshall, the joint venture coordinated by the City and financed by the county saved the taxpayers approximately $90,000.00. Finally, he personally thanked Mr. Osborne for his management of the Joint project. On behalf cf the Board, Commissioner Carpenter presented a plaque to Mr. osborne in recognition of his o~tstanding efforts as proJec~ manager the Corban Avenue parking lot project. The Board expressed its appreciation to Mayor ~iles, Mr. Hiatt and Mr. Osborne for their assistance with the sUCCeSSful project· Mr. Hiatt thanked Cabarrus County personnel for assisting in the emergency response to the ruptured ~as line and fire near Concord Mills Mall on Sunday, August 20, 2000. He stated the cooperation between the various City, County and volunteer agencies was outstanding. ~aco~nition of ~,l~yees on Their Retirement Mr. Jim Cook, Social services D/rector/ recognized Ms. Kay M. Robinette on her retirement from the Department of Social Services after 25 years of On behalf of Mr. Wayne Trexler, Chairman of the Social Services Board, Commissioner Privette extended appreciation to Ms. Robinette from the Social Services Board.
