200~ ]I:27AM PLANN!NG & C,D, DEPT, 70~7950983 <br /> <br />Quarterly reporting will commence with the at~bmis~ion of the f'u~t report in the first <br />week of.$anuary, 2001 with three additional programmed r~orts to follow in the first <br /> "7' <br />week of Aprll, 2001, Suly, 2001 and October, 2001; and <br /> <br />Quarterly reports shall include, but are not limited to, the following information: <br /> <br />a. the experlcnco of each of the five local government jurisdictions with LIDO <br /> administration; <br />b. examples of any improvements over previous ordinances; <br />c. examples of any increased problems compared to previous ordinances; <br />d, or. arnples of any h~dships or difficulties experienced by property owners, <br /> builders and developers that were unforeseen; <br />e. recommond~ anumdments to correct pmbterns experienced; and <br />f. recommended amendments to expand or enhan~ the UDO. <br /> <br />The professional staffs of Cabarrus County, the City of Concord, the City of <br />Kannapolis, the Town of Hm'risburs ~ thc Town of Mount ?lc~ea~ will monitor <br />and evaluate the implementation ofth~ Unified Dewlopmcnt 0rdinencc for thc <br />purpose of preparing the reports, including communications with thc local building <br />and developm~t industry; and <br /> <br />The elected oiScials of Cabarrus County, the City of Concord, the City of <br />Kannapolis, the Town of Harrisbur$. and thc Town of Mount Pleasant further agree <br />that future amtndmcnt of thc UniEed Development Ordinance will bc conducted ~s <br />follows: <br /> <br />a. at such time that an ammdment is prepared for consid~afion'by one of the local <br /> jurisdictions, the manag~ and planning director of each of the othe~ jurisdiaions <br /> will be provided a copy of the proposed amendment, not less than 30 days prior to <br /> any public hearing on the proposed ame~drnant, for review and comment; <br />b. comments received from ~ny of the.other four jurisdictions, ~s well ~ feiiure to <br /> comment on the p~ cf any jurisdictien~, shall be r~-ported to the planning board <br /> and elected officials of thc juriscliction proposing the am~dmcnt ~d <br /> incorporat~ into the r~cord of any public hearing or other public me,ting at <br /> which s~ch amendment ts to be considered; <br />c. the proposingjurisdiction shall accept comments ~'om the o'.htr jurisdict/ons as <br /> information, but shall not be bound by the comments to c. ither approve or deny <br /> approval for the proposed amendment; an~ <br />d. upon adopting an ordinance ~o aln~nd the United Dev~loprilent 0rdinan¢o, each <br /> ~urisdiction adopiing the arnuudment shall provide the manager and planning <br /> dire~_t_or of e~ch of the other four jurisdictions a signed copy ofth~ amendment <br /> within ~0 days of adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
