County was granted $35,000 for this purpose, and the Department plans to make <br />vendor payments planned by the Child Protection Team. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />In order to assure the Department has funding to provide employment and training <br />services to non-custodial parents of children who receive public assistance, the <br />Centralina Council of Governments has allocated the Department $53,515 in North <br />Carolina Education and Grant Fund Program funds. The Department plans to use <br />these funds to purchase social work services and other resources which will assist <br />these non-custodial parents in securing and maintaining employment, and thus to pay <br />the child support they owe. (This program will permit a revival of the Department's <br />award-winning JOBS for Dads program.) <br /> <br /> I have not included as attachments, but have maintained, the docfimentation relating <br />to these changed allocations and grants. <br /> <br />Please advise me ifI can provide additional information or clarification. <br /> <br />Thank you. <br /> <br /> <br />
