An estimated construction budget for the entire facility is included as an attachment. As clarification, it should be understood that various elements of the entire project may change substantially and would be phased according to direction established by the County Commission. Referring to the estimated construction budget: School Administration facilities (except for the garage) have been authorized pending closure on the sale of the current location. Funding for the school administration facilities (except the garage) will come from the sale of the current school administration properties on Highway 29 and the old Harrisburg Elementary School. The architectural/engineering for Phase I work to be pursued will include: (A) Multi-use Center (B) Special Exhibit/Attraction Area (C) Site Development (as noted) (i) Site grading/excavation (ii) Site layout/staking (iii) Site clearing & grading (iv) Culverts/storm drainage (v) Fencing $1,000,000. 100,000. 80,000. 200,000. 139,230. $ 8,790,000. 3,177,000. 1,519,230. * Note: Paving will be pursued in later phases once all utilities are installed. Landscaping (likewise) will be included in later phases. Scheduling As noted in the October 31st memo/schedule from LARC, approximately 22 months are required to assure completion of the facilities for the September 2002 fair. For that reason, the County Commission needs to act in a timely manner if the new site is to be ready for September 2002. Funding/Budgets In broad detail, funding sources for the projects as outlined are provided. Detailed budget amendments will be developed once more specific data is available.
