~PON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Privette <br />and unanimously carried, the Board voted to ask the North Carolina <br />Association of County Commissioners to request the General Assembly to review <br />and analyze the funding allocation formula used by the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation in establishing road construction and <br />maintenance programs as well as the legislative allocation of the highway use <br />fund and gas tax revenues. The purpose of this request is to seek a more <br />direct relationship between the distribution of road construction revenues <br />and traffic-related demand. <br /> <br /> Chairman Fennel stated the Board would consider other legislative goals <br />as they are brought forward by members of the Board. <br /> <br /> <br />
