The report will be produced in draft fo~faat for distribution to the steering committee for their <br />review and comment. The third meeting of the steering committee will be held to receive their <br />input. The committee will be asked to indicate their support for impleme~tst!on. <br /> <br />Task 8 - Determining Unmet Demand and Needs Assessment <br /> by the Application of the Parking Model <br /> <br />The previous Tasks address current parking problems and solutions. Under this task the <br />Consultant will analyze future parking needs. To develop the Parking Model the following input <br />data is required: existing occupied and vacant building floor space by land use type; projected <br />occupied building floor space by land use type; parking generation rates by land use type; and <br />potential downtown developments by time phase. The application of the Parking Model is also <br />dependent upon the selection of a "design year" which will probably to a five year design period. <br /> <br />For this task, the Consultants will need an inventory of existing occupied and vacant floor space <br />and projected future occupied floor space by land use type. The Client will need to provide <br />existing and future estimates of occupied floor space in a format suggested by the Consultants.. <br /> <br />Task 9 - Final Report Preparation <br /> <br />Upon submission and review by the steering committee, the Consultants will consider the input <br />received and will proceed with the revision of the draft and will write the final report. This final <br />draft will be provided in a "camera ready format~ to the Client for reproduction and distribution. <br />Once this has been done, the Consultants will be available for a final presentation. The final <br />report will include recommendations for: <br /> <br />· number of parking spaces, location, type; <br /> <br />· on-street parking design; <br /> <br />· on-street time limits and loading area; <br /> <br />· off-street parking lot redesign; <br /> <br />· evaluation of proposed parking deck sites; <br /> <br />· conceptual design of new off-street parking; <br /> <br />· parking promotion techniques; <br /> <br />· parking signing; and <br /> <br />· parking organization and management. <br /> <br /> <br />
