Recommendations <br /> <br />Cabarrus County has a good start on making the successful transition to its new <br />computing environment. There are three areas that need to be addressed to make <br />that journey successful. <br /> <br />· Create the ability to retain skilled help by adjusting the salary base no less <br /> than 5% below the present market average. <br /> <br />· Acquire, through retraining and recruiting, LAN administration skills and <br /> have them in place by the July 1, 1999 cut-over. <br /> <br />Improve the customer service/assistance interface with user groups and <br />reduce the lost skilled productivity by expanding the capabilities of the Help <br />Desk to respond to most frequently asked questions. <br /> <br /> <br />
