Transportation <br /> <br />Containers will be loaded onto trucks with a forklift or tail gate lifts. All wastes will be <br />transported in ECOFLO's vehicles or by another transported which is appropriately licensed, <br />permitted and insured for transportation of hazardous materials. Wastes will be. removed from <br />the property before ECOFLO leaves the site. Trucks will be locked after loading. <br />Documentation of waste types and quantities will be provided to Cabarrus County personnel <br />prior to leaving the site. <br /> <br />Clean Up <br /> <br />After all wastes have been shipped, the active areas of the collection site will be cleaned to the <br />approval of Cabarrus County personnel. <br /> <br />Recycling, Treatment and Disposal <br /> <br />ECOFLO will ship all waste to its Greensboro facility for fuels blending, consolidation or storage. <br />The hierarchy outlined in the "Overview" will be used in determining the preferred method for <br />management of the wastes. <br /> <br />Material amenable for recovery or reclamation will be selected first. Most combustible wastes <br />will be fuels blended. Nickel-cadmium batteries, alkaline batteries, latex paints, mercury, <br />mercury debris, fluorescent bulbs, propane cylinders, oil filters and all empty steel containers <br />will be recycled. <br /> <br />Some lab pack materials will be shipped to fully permitted facilities for treatment by incineration <br />or other acceptable technologies. Only asbestos will be landfilled in a hazardous waste Subtitle <br />C landfill. <br /> <br />All facilities utilized by ECOFLO for recycling, treatment or disposal have been audited by our <br />regulatory affairs department and have been found to provide environmentally safe alternatives <br />for management of household hazardous wastes.
